Online Drama As IEBC Through Its Twitter Handle Accidentally Refers To BBI As 'Burning Bridges Initiative'

WED, Dec 30 - The Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission (IEBC) has raised eyebrows after tweeting about an event of signature verifications. 

IEBC announced that the verification process was being launched at the Bomas of Kenya weeks after the collection was closed.

Through its forefront leaders Dennis Waweru and Junet Mohammed, the team collected over 4 million signatures, way above the required 1 million thresholds for a referendum.

As it stands, IEBC is set to start the verification process weeks after advertising the job for over 400 lucky Kenyans.

“The exercise will be conducted within Nairobi and successful applicants should be residing within Nairobi county or its environs or alternatively arrange for their own accommodation within the cited areas,” read IEBC chair.

The launch which was scheduled for today invited online drama after IEBC referred to BBI as 'Burning Bridges Initiative'.
