Kenyans have been thrown into mourning following the death of Reuben Musyoki Kimani, the police officer behind the viral phrase 'kimeumana' (things are bad).

A post by a Facebook page dubbed The Kenya Police shared the officer's obituary on Wednesday, January 13.
"Go well senior," the post read.
Musyoki who was born in 1959 lost his life on Thursday, January 7, and his body had been preserved at the Montezuma Funeral Home.

He would be laid to rest on Saturday, January 16, at his home in Masii location, Machakos county.
The police officer was nicknamed 'Kimeumana' by his colleagues because he reportedly liked using the phrase during the course of his work.
