25-year-old cobbler based in Utawala has declared his interest in running for the country's top seat in the forthcoming 2022 General Elections.
Pidgin Odimwengu believes he is the ideal candidate who will bring change to the country that the previous regime has failed to.
In an interview with Switch TV on Tuesday, January 26, the cobbler said he aims to form a government that will consist of 70% of common people including the youth and women and bags on their votes to clinch the top seat.
One thing I'm assured of is the votes from common people, including the youth. Those votes are on standby, I'm not worried about them," said Pidgin.
Normally, presidential aspirants need to have billions of money to fund their campaigns as they have to traverse the country selling their manifesto, something the cobbler admitted not to have.
The former Embu University student leader, therefore, called upon people of goodwill who believe in his dream to fund his campaigns.
In his manifesto, the aspirant said he aims to improve the country's public schools and public health system which he claimed has deteriorated.
Odwimwengu also pledged to improve infrastructure in the villages by tarmacking village roads and sinking boreholes.
The aspirant poked holes in President Uhuru Kenyatta's priority projects, for instance, he said the current Nairobi Expressway will only benefit a handful of people specifically the rich.
